2nd November 2013 long weekend.
Friday
We where meant to go tubing this weekend (at Goolang Creek) but there was maintenance and no running water. So we decided to go to Straddie for the weekend, with some new friends Kacey and Georgie (who where Straddie virgins). We packed ourselves in the one car headed over on the barge Friday morning.
We had managed to get a great deal on a beach house at Amity Point including the return ferry ride.
The house was great - quiet little neighborhood 2 minute walk to the Koala Park at the end of the street and a 5 minute walk through the bush to the beach (just about all to ourselves).
After Lunch we did the Gorge Walk had spotted a pod of whales, and some turtles and a group of wallabies.
We have previously seen dolphins around the jetty at Amity, soo we thought we would have a look around dusk.
They didn't disappoint, a pod of three turned up and a young girl was feeding them bait.
We all had a great cheap dinner at the community club and a few drinkies.

Back to the jetty at dusk (this time with bait) and we all feed the dolphins together, it was a wonderful experience.
Then dinner at the Straddie pub.
Back home for a few more drinks and a game of Balderdash - Georgie was victorious!
Sunday
Walk along the beach and packed up the house.Gorge walk and fish and chips over looking the ocean, then a walk along Clyinders, and deadmans beaches before heading back for the barge ride home.
