We woke up to a snow covered car and was still falling. It was only -3 DegC at 9am. Mikey cleaned off the car (the boot was actually frozen shut!) and we headed up to Mesa Verde National Park but it was closed due to the conditions - too much ice and snow on the roads and were told to come back after lunch to see if it was any better.
De-icing the car
So we drove back to Cortez to have a look at a few shops to waste some time (but the shops only open at 10am) we ended up having Denny's for lunch (franchise diner) not the healthiest choice - I will never eat fried mortzella cheese again - the waitress thought we were strange considering we had never eaten it before.

We wrapped up really warm as the strong wind had now set in and it was still only 0 degC, headed back to Mesa Verde, but it was still closed. We then went to the Anasazi Historical Centre for 30 minutes, stopped in at a couple of shops on the way back to the hotel - were Mikey had another germ swim.

Decide on Dinner from the City Market. You guessed it Mikey had the ribs and I had the salad bar.
