Welcome Rory Sieters

Well after much thought and heartache, we decided to get another little girl, as Ella had left such a hole in our lives. Much to our surprise Lindy really missed his little sister and had become our depressed shadow.

So on Saturday we went to local RSPCA and were amoungst the throng of families picking out kittens. We picked out Rory an 8 week old grey tabby (who had only just been desexed the day before!) she has already been tattoo'd (they bread them tough at Fairfield) and microchipped.

So for $135- she is a Bargain.

In the last 24 hours we have found out alot about her......she is a pig, she will eat anything!!! including the meat left on our plate and Lindy's! She drinks heaps and sleeps!!!

We have never known a kitten like it, just passes out on or near you.

She is already in the house with Lindy and out of the garage, they are getting on better then we expected (for example it took 2 weeks to get to this stage with Ella and Lindy).

As I type they are sleeping in separte chairs and looking at each other, but that is it, but that is great, so it looks like our new girl is going to fit in well to the family.

Oh, and Rory is only a two clinder purrer, not a six like Ella, so hopefully she wont wake me a 3am in the morning - fingercrossed.

Happy New Year!!!

Unfortunately the weather has been pretty wet and windy ( you wouldn't know we where in a drought!), so a lot of fireworks were cancelled.

Dionne and Nick hosted this years festivities at Dionne's place.

Due to the weather the BBQ was out - but in true Dionne style - not a problem!!!

We all really relaxed and enjoyed ourselves amongst friends - Lynton, Sue, Ken, Sharon and Sharyn.

Dionne had slow cooked Roast Lamb with an assortment of veggies and side dishes.

Finished off with Meraigne and especially made from Sue was the Tiramisu.

Lots of Drinking and laughter going into the New Year!

Thanks for a great night guys - Its always a pleasure!

Christmas

Stage 1

Saturday we drove up to Mum and Dad's new place at Sandstone Point to have a Banks' family Christmas Dinner.

We all prepared a summer dinner of cold meats, frittia, salad amd Jacket potatoes.

We all got spoilt for presents with William getting the biggest - a motorised go-cart.

We all slept over and played board games (due to rain) until leaving.

Oasis

Busy day for us both. I had organised to have lunch with Johanna and Rosemarie then off to the Nutcracker ballet. Mikey went to Baz and Jenny's for BBQ and Christmas Drinks with Des and Vanessa.

Then off to dinner with friends before heading off to Oasis for a night of socialising and swing dancing.

Ella

RIP - Ella - 1 May - 18 December

Sadly our little girl Ella got run over on the 18th of December. She was only 8 months old, we have buried her in the back yard and planted a pink flowering shrub that will grow like she was meant to. We have placed Ella's collar and her enormousness bell around the trunk of the shrub.

She is missed dearly by us all and will always be in our hearts. we know she is happy, wherever she now lives - chasing lizards, drooling, panting like a dog and most of all purring amazing loud.
