Dylan’s 1st Birthday -16 Jan 2010

Mikey and I decided to make a day out of it and had a bit of a bike ride along the Shorncliffe bike path in the morning before the party.


We then meet up with Jules, Stuart and baby Dylan and friend at the Park. There was a lovely breeze off the ocean so everyone was comfortable.


Jules and Stuart put on a lovely lunch for everyone and Jules Mum made the amazing birthday cake.

Ice Skating - 10 Jan 2010

We decided last year that we all wanted to give ice skating ago again (most of us had not been in over 10 years!).

I was a stinking hot day so it was great to get in the cold. It was much harder than we all remembered.

Mikey had never been before, and the roller blade skating lessons he did a couple of years ago – came in handy.

We all had fun and went for lunch at the local pub afterwards for lunch.

Springbrook National Park 8 Jan 2010

Mikey and I decided to take a walk around the newly reopened Purling Brook falls circuit at Springbrook.

It is only a 4km circuit and we had had a lot of rain in the last 2 weeks, so all of the falls where magnificent!

Big Bad Vodoo Daddies - 7 Jan 2010

This was the first time we had seen one of our favourite American neo swing bands.

The Hi-fi bar at West End is a great venue.

Ended up being a great night of reunions.
The sound and the performance where tight – AWESOME!!!

Boxing Day

This year we had boxing day at our place and everyone came to us.
After breakfast Mum, Dad and I where in the kitchen wiping up the vegetarian feast for lunch, we just had it all finished just as Russell and family arrived.
We did all the presents and then tucked into a huge lunch.
It was great to catchup with everyone again.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day at our place with the parents. Mikey was the present giver this year and after that was all over we had a lovely Christmas lunch together. It was the first time in years that we had a wet christmas.
