South Burnett
Michael & Maria
Friday 12 October
Had a lovely drive to Barabambah (they have had some rain out there recently and everything is green even the Vines were covered in lovely green leaves), with a few stops along the way at a couple of country towns.
Got to the Barabambah Bush Caravan Park, where we had booked a couple of cabins (Mark and Sue joined us for this long weekend of eating and wine tasting). The cabins were great!
We decided to venture to a few of the local wineries. Moffatdale (our favourite), Cloverley Estate, Dusty Hill and Tipperary, all whilst watching a large hail storm move around us.
We got back to the cabins quite pickled, and had a few nibbles, before going for Chinese take away.

Saturday 13 October
We had a nice drive to the Kingaroy area.
Stopped off at the Wondai Markets and Op Shop (got Mikey a great safari suit!)
Then to Captains Paddock (to meet the world famous Merlot the Wine dog) and sample a few more wines.
Then on to Stuart Range for some more wine tasting and Cheese Tasting (yummy!).
Lunch at the Carrollea Hotel.
Then on to Ziebarth (beautiful spot – will have lunch there next time), last stop Cranes Wines, with lovely service from the Kelli look a like (CSI Miami) at the Cellar Door.
Sunday 14 October
Quick stop at the Murgon Markets then a lovely drive home.
